Default How to run Laser Interceptors with ZR4s?

I currently have a Beltronics STI-R Plus system in Porsche 911 Turbo. I also have the ZR4 shifters for this setup (two heads up front, one in the back). I just ordered a Laser Interceptor system (four heads) and will be mounting it this week. My question is, what is the best way to wire this system to get the maximum protection? The guys from Laser Interceptor recommended putting two LI heads up front (one in each grill closest to headlight) and two LI heads in the back (as close to the tail lights as possible, or above the rear license plate on each side. They then recommended to just run the ZR4 in receive only mode. To me, this seems like a waste of the ZR4 system? What is the optimal way to wire this system to provide me the best protection? I do need to be able to turn it off relatively quickly if needed as jammer's aren't exactly looked upon favorably where I live. Thanks guys!

Their recommendation is correct. Do not use multiple laser jamming systems simultaneously. The reason for this is that laser jammers output a specific pulserate for each laser gun. All of the heads are synchronized to emit this pulserate exactly the same. If you use two systems then they will not be synchronized with each other which will negatively effect jamming performance (will not confuse the laser gun). Use one of the systems in receive only mode. The ZR4 heads are extremely sensitive laser receivers.

While it is alerting press the ZR4's mute button twice to stop laser shifting for about one minute. You will still receive laser alerts with shifting temporarily disabled. The system will then notify you after it has re-enabled shifting.

X2, I believe that the ZR4s are better than the LIs for "reception", BUT the LIs are better for jamming. I'd run the ZR4s at "receive" ONLY and leave the LIs to do the heavy lifting!! Just like running two RDs in the cabin can give you interference, so too with "Parking sensors."

Ended up using the ZR4's in receive only, and the LIs in jam mode. The system works like a charm. The LIs are definitely superior to the ZR4s for jamming, but I find the ZR4s are quite good at picking up laser signal
